RMU SECTION
Departmental Monitoring Visit Report
Date: 26th July 2025
Project: Rehabilitation of Qambrani Road from Sabzal Road to N-25 (Mastung Road), District Quetta
PSDP No: 431
Estimated Cost: Rs. 1,087.833 Million
Observations:
1. Inadequate Sewerage System:
The absence of a proper sewerage system has resulted in wastewater flowing over the road surface. This not only poses a serious threat to the durability and structural integrity of the road but also causes significant inconvenience to residents and disrupts the smooth flow of traffic.
2. Urgent Recommendation for Side Drains:
It is strongly recommended that the construction of side drains be initiated on an emergency basis to mitigate further damage and improve the overall functionality of the road infrastructure.
3. Flooding During Rainy Season:
During rainfall, the lack of a sufficient flood flow path leads to rainwater entering residential properties. This highlights the urgent need to design and implement adequate flood management measures.
