Sohbatpur β July 16:
Provincial Minister for Communications and Works, Mir Saleem Ahmed Khosa, has reaffirmed his commitment to modernizing road and building infrastructure not only in District Sohbatpur but across the province. He emphasized that the construction of the Sohbatpur to Kashmor Road will greatly enhance connectivity for people from all walks of life in Sohbatpur, while also improving access between Balochistan and other provinces.
The minister expressed these views while chairing a high-level meeting to review the progress of ongoing road and building infrastructure projects in District Sohbatpur. The meeting was attended by the Chief Engineers of Roads and Buildings for the Sibi Zone, along with all district engineers and officers from the Naseerabad Circle and other senior officials.
During the session, participants received comprehensive briefings on the progress of infrastructure projects in Sohbatpur. The District Engineer of Sohbatpur also presented a detailed update on Phase One of the Sohbatpur-Kashmor Road project, highlighting key technical challenges.
Speaking at the occasion, Minister Khosa stated that aligning the provinceβs infrastructure with modern standards and ensuring the availability of contemporary facilities across all sectors remains a top priority. He acknowledged the severe damage caused by recent rains and floods, particularly to the road infrastructure in Sohbatpur.
He reiterated that timely completion of all development projects, especially those involving roads, is crucial. He described the Sohbatpur Kashmor Road as a significant gift for his constituency, promising far-reaching benefits for the entire district.
The minister instructed relevant departments to accelerate the pace of work on the project and to address all technical issues on a priority basis to ensure its swift completion, allowing the local population to benefit at the earliest.
He also emphasized the importance of maintaining high quality standards across all ongoing projects, stating that no compromise on quality would be tolerated. Furthermore, he directed engineers and officers to conduct daily monitoring of ongoing development works and submit weekly progress reports to ensure accountability and transparency.

SECRETARY CCWPP&H
A Zoom meeting was held under the leadership of Secretary Communications and Works, Government of Balochistan, Mr. Lal Jan Jafar, in collaboration with the Planning Commission to discuss the new Balochistan Provincial Assembly building project. The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer Federal Projects Dr. Sajjad Baloch, Executive Engineer Maintenance-I Qambir Bugti, along with other senior officials from the Communications and Works Department.
